About the Role

Actively support the individual needs of people who access the Queensland Community Support Scheme (QCSS) services. You will provide a person-centred approach to assist clients to achieve their goals and meet their support needs. Our clients are based in Daisy Hill, Slacks Creek and local regions and you will often support multiple clients per day between the hours of 8am and 5pm Monday – Friday. This is a permanent part time position, with flexible working hours to suit your lifestyle and can be based between school hours if required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients to improve their independence according to their identified needs and goals inclusive of:

In home supports:

  • Domestic assistance
  • Personal care
  • Assistance with meal preparation
  • Skill development

Community Connections supports:

  • Social support
  • Shopping assistance
  • Social linking
  • Assist clients to improve their independence in according to their identified needs and goals
  • Establish a rapport and collaborate effectively with clients and their family

Skills & Experience

  • An unrestricted Australian Driver’s Licence
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability or similar)
  • A current First Aid Certificate
  • Excellent organisational skills, hygiene practices and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
  • Reliability and a positive work ethic essential
  • Experience supporting people with a disability or mental health challenges desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to work and communicate within a dynamic and supportive team

Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
