Lighthouse Foundation is seeking a dynamic and innovative Digital Marketing Coordinator to join our passionate team. Reporting to and under the guidance of our Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for co-ordinating our digital platforms, including our website, social media, email marketing, SEM and SEO, to drive the profile and market the role of Lighthouse Foundation. Working in a flexible, hybrid environment, the ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with digital marketing skills and a strong passion for the not-for-profit sector. You will have a deep understanding of how to use digital platforms to inspire donors, corporate partners, community volunteers, staff, and other stakeholders. Your duties will include creating and building on digital platforms, publishing, and optimising campaigns and ad content, as well as handling minor design needs across the organisation.

At Lighthouse Foundation we provide homes and therapeutic care programs to children and young people impacted by long term neglect, abuse and homelessness. Our focus is to create caring communities where children and youth can feel safe, form meaningful relationships and begin to heal from traumatic experiences. For the past 33 years, our proven Model of Care has successfully transformed the lives of over 1,230 young people using a range of evidence-based strategies. Our Lighthouse Homes, Foster and Family Care and In Community care environments ensure our support reaches the children and youth who need it, where they need it, for as long as they need it.

As a Digital Marketing Coordinator, you will play a key role in enhancing Lighthouse Foundation’s digital presence, engaging with our community, and raising awareness of our mission to support children and young people who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness. You will use creative and effective marketing strategies to drive our mission forward and increase support for our programs and services. WHAT DO I NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL?

To be successful in this role, you will need strong interpersonal skills and a high level of maturity and understanding when working with those who use and support our services. Excellent organisational skills are essential, as you will need to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively. Additionally, a positive, ‘roll up your sleeves’ attitude and a willingness to take a hands-on role in projects when required are crucial for thriving in this position.

From a professional standpoint you will require;

  • Tertiary degree in Digital Media, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (2+ years) in digital marketing, with a strong portfolio of successful campaigns and projects.
  • Experience with implementation and analytics across social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter and Tik Tok)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content

Other key skills which would be desirable;

  • Previous experience in the not-for-profit sector
  • Ability to use Canva, Adobe Suite or relevant graphic design tools
  • Experience working with CRM and email marketing systems, namely Mailchimp and Blackbaud Raiser's Edge
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including WordPress and GA4
  • Some experience with SEM/SEO and knowledge across UTMs, Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager.
