Our mission is to empower families by delivering tailored, holistic care that meets their unique needs. Our Family Engagement and Support Educators play a vital role in helping families establish routines, develop emotional regulation strategies, and prepare children for school, including transport support when required.
About the Role
As a Family Engagement and Support Educator, you will:
- Provide direct and indirect support to children, young people, and families to foster resilience and capacity building.
- Assist with daily routines, emotional regulation, and school preparation.
- Promote a child-safe environment, including supporting hygiene practices, meal preparation, and developmental activities tailored to each child’s needs.
- Safely transport children to and from school, appointments, and extracurricular activities using your own reliable, registered, and insured vehicle.
- Collaborate with families to develop strategies for educational, behavioural, and developmental goals.
- Support secure attachments between children and their primary carers.
- Complete administrative tasks such as record keeping and reporting.

About You
We are seeking someone who:
- Embodies empathy, integrity, and professionalism.
- Demonstrates attentiveness to the safety and wellbeing of children and vulnerable adults.
- Has excellent communication skills, patience, and a positive, fun attitude.
- Is creative and resourceful in engaging and educating children.
- Can adapt to flexible work rosters to support families with diverse needs.
Essential Requirements:
- Current DHS Working with Children Check.
- Certificate III in Children’s Services or evidence of enrolment (or equivalent, or higher).
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Completed Child Safe Environments and Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse, and Neglect training.
- Experience working with children of varying ages and developmental needs.
- Sound understanding of child development requirements.
- A valid driver’s licence, satisfactory driving record, and access to a reliable, registered, and insured vehicle.
Desirable Skills:
- Training in trauma-informed care (SMART), child development, secure attachment, or children’s therapy is highly desirable.
Location and Availability
This casual role will initially involve working with up to two families located in the Western and Northern suburbs of Adelaide. Most families require support in the mornings and afternoons, with Monday mornings being a key priority.
