The Little Sisters of the Poor St Joseph’s Home have a casual opportunity available for an experienced Catering Assistant within our Aged Care facility in Northcote.
Little Sisters of the Poor is a warm, compassionate and caring organization with a unique history dating back to 1839 dedicated to the service of the elderly poor.
We are seeking a catering assistant to join our dedicated catering team who are passionate about providing a high standard of customer service to our residents. Morning and afternoon shifts are worked 7days a week.
Preparation, serving, presentation and delivery of food and beverages in accordance with the Food Safety Program (FSP), the Catering Manager’s instruction, individual residents need and preferences.
Washing dishes and cleaning according to the Food Safety Program
Assist with monitoring and recording requirements of the Food Safety Program e.g. recording temperatures, signing the cleaning schedule when cleaning is completed, documenting goods received.
Contributes to menu planning to meet residents’ needs and preferences.
Participates in the risk management program and contributes to a clean, safe work environment to ensure health and safety of residents, staff, volunteers and visitors.
Provides competent service in accordance with the documented policies and procedures, and legislative requirements relevant to the role.
