Key Responsibilities
Your tasks will include, but are not limited to:
- Not-for-profit bookkeeping duties, including payroll, accounts receivable and payable, and reconciliations.
- PAYG tax (monthly), superannuation, and BAS (quarterly) lodgements.
- Monthly finalisation of accounts, including journal entries and financial reporting.
- Preparing and sending invoices on a monthly basis.
- Issuing annual tax deduction receipts.
- Assisting with the preparation for annual audits.
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards.
Essential Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Formal qualifications in Bookkeeping, Accounting, or Finance.
- Proven experience in bookkeeping and financial management.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, compliance, and financial reporting.
- Knowledge of PAYG tax, superannuation, and BAS lodgements.
- Experience in bank reconciliations, journal entries, and accounts finalisation.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with accounting software.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
