Lifeline Harbour to Hawkesbury  Sydney (H2HS) is one of over 40 Lifeline centres nationally, providing Australians with access to 24-hour crisis support and suicide prevention services. Our strength lies in our community footprint, as we deliver vital programs and outreach initiatives to build local and lasting capacity for suicide prevention through connection, compassion, and hope.

We are seeking an Emergency Relief Casual Coordinator to assist with the management of the Emergency Relief service of Lifeline H2HS when required to cover for the ER Manager during leave and other absences. 

The duties required when covering ER include:

  • Managing the ER team of volunteers 
  • Providing support for ER volunteers in their role arranging assistance for clients  
  • Providing support for clients and addressing client issues 
  • Assisting with intake and appointment arrangements
  • Assisting with referrals to other services as appropriate  
  • Liaising with other Lifeline H2H staff and external agencies  

This is a casual paid position which requires availability on Wednesdays and Fridays, and is based in Gordon with easy access to public transport.

The successful candidate will have qualifications in crisis support and/or social work and possess a high level of written and verbal communication skills and strong proficiency in the use of databases, Microsoft SharePoint, Excel, and Word.
