An exciting opportunity exists for a sports development officer to join the GoActive team and play a vital role in undertaking community sports development projects across Sydney. GoActive promotes and encourages physical activity and sports participation of women and girls from all backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver community sports programs
• Support the Project lead with on going projects and initiatives
• Oversee the participation of young people in Sport Health and Educational programs
• Develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships

Ideal Candidate will have

• At least 1-year experience working as a project officer or in a sports development capacity
• Understanding of the potential of sport as a tool for social inclusion and capacity building.
• Understanding of transferrable sports skills in a theory and practical setting
• A vested interested in sport health and wellbeing

Core competencies:

• Demonstrated personal initiative;
• The ability to work independently and deliver outputs in a timely manner
• Well-developed verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills;
• Confidence and ability to deliver engaging and positive initiatives
• Creative and driven
