The role

The Key Relationships Lead (Mid-Level Giving) partners with the Supporter Engagement Manager (through multi-channel marketing) to develop and grow the mid-level portfolio and pipeline. It ensures an exceptional donor experience for mid-level donors, sustaining high level giving and encouraging increased giving.

The role also provides support to the Director of Engagement and CEO in developing and managing relationships with high net-worth individuals and family foundations, in particular, setting up an effective moves management system within the fundraising CRM (Raiser’s Edge).

This is being offered as a full-time role, Monday to Friday.

What you’ll be doing

In partnership with the Supporter Engagement Manager, you’ll:

• Grow the mid-level giving program for sustained income as well as a pipeline for major gift prospecting through analysis of data to progress donors through the mid-level giving pool
• Collaborate together make sure mid-level donors are receiving tailored, impactful communications within the appeals cycle
• Deliver excellent relationship management of our mid-level donors

You’ll also support the Director of Engagement to:

• Build on existing major gift relationships, strategically developing and growing the major gift program
• Develop a compelling major gifts case for support
• Drive the set-up of an effective moves management planning system within the CRM
• Provide administration support to the Director of Engagement (and CEO) in aid of consistent donor liaison and relationship management of high net-worth individuals and family Foundations

Who you are

You excel in creating and managing meaningful and sustainable relationships with donors, demonstrating authenticity and transparency. You are skilled in deepening those relationships through comprehensive analysis and understanding of CRM data to identify potential growth opportunities for the program.

What you bring

• Demonstrated experience in meeting strategic and financial goals through the development and implementation of mid-level donor strategies
• Demonstrated experience of working with or managing a data driven mid-level donor program
• Strong reporting skills, using CRM data to influence and inform structures and approaches within a mid-level giving program
• High levels of computer literacy including extensive use of a CRM database for relationship management
• Proven success working with others on mid-level fundraising opportunities
• Excellent written and verbal communication and engagement skills
• Experience in collaborating with key stakeholders both internally and externally
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail
• Experience working in animal welfare (desirable)
