Looking for a candidate with experience as a Disability Support Worker and expertise in supporting clients with autism or mental health disabilities. You will be required to provide a person-centred approach in building relationships, assisting in personal daily tasks, and encouraging community access with clients, keeping them in control of their choices and supporting their desires. Your goal will be to help support individuals to become as independent as they can be in order to live a happy and fulfilling life.
Job Role
- Perform the role of a key worker and assist in achieving clients' NDIS goals
- Provide support in behavioural management and communication to encourage social relationships with-in the community, other clients, and staff members
- Assist with personal care, and developing client’s daily living skills & independence
- Responsible for domestic duties
- Handling of documents, & medication with high level of care
- Liaising with multitude of stakeholders; clients, families, staff, management, & health professionals

- Ability to work with and support individuals with complex needs & challenging behaviours
- Experience in the disability sector, especially mental health clients
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills
- Ability to work in independently with a high level of problem solving skill
- Proficient in English - written & verbal
