We are seeking an experienced Educational Leader who is a resilient, resourceful, calm and caring team player to undertake the position of Children's Services Coordinator. As the Coordinator, you will be working with up to 2 remote Indigenous Early Learning programs to provide a high level of leadership to both qualified and trainee educators in environments for children, birth to school age.
This position will be based in Alice Springs with a frequent travel to the allocated communities across the MacDonnell Region.
You will apply your knowledge of the National Quality Standards to drive the quality improvement process and guide educators and families. The coordinator, in conjunction with the Manager Children's Services, will work collaboratively with educators, families and community members to deliver a high quality and culturally strong program through the philosophy of MacDonnell Regional Council - Children's Services.
You will ideally hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and have at least 3 years' experience working in a leadership capacity in an Early Learning Service. Understanding of the National Quality Standards is essential, and if you have experience working in a culturally and linguistically diverse environment that would be an advantage!
You will have a collaborative approach to decision making, the ability to lead, motivate and mentor team members to foster independence while having a strong commitment to Two-Way learning.
