This is your chance to join our team as a Finance Officer - Accounts Receivable and Rates.

The Role

As the Finance Officer - Accounts Receivable and Rates, you will be responsible for maintenance of records in the rates and property system while responding to ratepayer enquiries. You will also be undertaking credit control related to outstanding accounts and invoices and preparing invoices and account statements for debtors.

You will be working in collaboration with Manager Finance in reconciling and balancing accounts and preparing monthly aged receivable analysis reports while providing back up support to the finance team members.

Qualifications

• Certificate III level qualifications in Finance, Accounting or Bookkeeping, studying towards or equivalent relevant experience
• Proven experience in finance and/or rates position
• Experience in applying Financial practices and principles aligned with MRC enterprise agreement
• Ability to use Technology One ERP software and related software packages such as Microsoft Office
• Demonstrated ability to work in a culturally and linguistically diverse environment
