In this rewarding role, as a Residential Care Worker you will work collaboratively to provide a high standard of physical and emotional care to young people living within our homes. By utilising your passion and commitment, you will interact therapeutically and positively with the young people, spending quality time with them, cooking meals, undertaking household duties and participating in daily general duties. In this position, you will also provide information to other professionals regarding the young people, as well as completing reports, updating records and other compliance requirements.
We are currently seeking individuals to join our motivated Residential Out of Home Care team in a Permanent or Casual capacity in our Geelong region.
Reporting to the Coordinator / House Supervisor (as appropriate), you will be responsible for the wellbeing and health, emotional and physical day-to-day care for the Children and Young People in residential care.
Our care homes operate on a 24/7 basis. As a result, successful applicants must be willing to work in the evenings, overnight, weekends, and public holidays.

Complete or satisfy the minimum mandatory qualification of a Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential and Out of Home Care). If you hold a similar or relevant qualification, you may still be required to complete top up units to meet this requirement. MacKillop will facilitate your enrolment into a government funded course; however, if you have already accessed your Government Funding, you may be required to cover the cost.
