Council is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced person with an understanding of current youth issues to provide strong input and leadership into the strategic direction, planning and implementation of innovative programs and services for youth across our municipality.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide support, coordination and leadership to Mansfield’s youth sector
• Ensure policies and practices prioritise child safety and promote a shared responsibility across all levels of Council
• Ensure active engagement of young people in decision making
• Ensure effective representation and consideration of young people across all council planning and service delivery functions
• Promote awareness of the positive contribution young people make to their community

Remuneration will be based on Band 6 classification ($40.4508 per hour) of the Mansfield Shire Council Enterprise Agreement 2019.
