Man Up President

Man Up
  • Position Type: Paid, part-time (0.2-0.4 FTE)
  • Term: One year, with the ability to be re-appointed.
  • Time Commitment: Approximately 6-10 hours every week.
  • Location: Perth, WA

Man Up is a not-for-profit, peer-to-peer education service in WA, with the goal of empowering young men and redefining masculinity. We run workshops on various topics centred around men’s mental health and well-being, with an emphasis on transforming boys into confident, purpose-driven, and emotionally capable men.

Our aim is to change the phrase ‘man up’ to mean something positive; to live authentically from one’s heart, embrace vulnerability, and hold one another accountable to stand up for what is right. Since our inception, MAN UP programs have had a proven impact on male student beliefs, attitudes, and behaviours towards men’s health. By having conversations with over 8,500 young men across WA, they have shown that our workshops are important, necessary, and impactful.

  • Acting as a signatory for Man Up in all legal purposes and financial purposes.
  • Serving as a spokesperson for Man Up when required.
