The Opportunity

In your role as Team Leader Early Childhood Services, you will be responsible for providing strong leadership, management and support to Early Childhood Services team members in delivering high quality services including; Kindergarten Central Registration Services, Kindergarten (CALD) Engagement and partnerships with Early Years' service providers (Pre-School Field Officer, Kindergartens, Long Day Care).

You will be responsible for the leadership and management of delivered services, contracted providers and ensuring compliance with relevant funding requirements.

Key Responsibilities

The Team Leader Early Childhood Services will be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Lead and manage the Early Childhood Services team in delivering high quality services that are aligned with relevant funding guidelines and based on relevant quantitative and qualitative service data.
  • Lead and coordinate the service planning, monitoring and review of all Early Childhood services.
  • Lead and coordinate the Kindergartens Central Enrolment Services, including the implementation of policies and procedures to support the allocation of children into Kindergarten/Pre Prep in accordance with funding requirements.
  • Manage all aspects of funding agreements inclusive of compliance, reports and financial.
  • Manage all relevant stakeholder relationships required to deliver quality Early Childhood services, including the management of contracted providers, partnerships with private providers and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the broader success of the organisation and the Community Wellbeing Department by role modelling strong leadership and alignment to values.

ABOUT YOU

To be considered for this role, you will have the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Early Years, Community Services or a related discipline.
  • Understanding of the Early Years sector.
  • Strong experience in leading teams to deliver high quality services that meet contractual and legislative requirements.
  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • No relevant criminal record found in a Police Check.
  • Experience in the management of funded programs and reporting requirements.
