<h3>ABOUT THE ROLE</h3>
Primary Tasks:
<ul>
<li>Demonstrate the organisation&rsquo;s Mission, Vision and Values in work tasks.</li>
<li>Provide a non-judgmental approach in work tasks.</li>
<li>Provide transparency and forewarning to line manager relating to work.</li>
<li>Annually read, with evidence of this as directed, policies and procedures of organisation.</li>
<li>Work towards identified KPIs as identified by the Board Planning Day: Strategic Plan and Business Plan, within scope of role.</li>
<li>Other tasks within scope of role as reasonably required or directed.</li>
<li>Higher duties may be required upon request.</li>
<li>Financial and Management Accounting:</li>
<li>
<ul>
<li>Process payment of accounts as and when they fall due.</li>
<li>Undertake the day-to-day input of transactions into the chosen accounting system and the maintenance of financial records including the inputting and completion of postings to ensure reconciled Monthly Financial reports can be produced within four weeks after the end of the month for the Board and Director of MarionLIFE.</li>
<li>Oversee the banking to the schedules of cash/cheques received. Review and check petty cash reimbursements.</li>
<li>Ensure that all control accounts are reconciled monthly, follow up and investigate any queries or differences and authorise any resulting journal entries.</li>
<li>Maintain and update the fixed assets register.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Financial Systems &amp; Information:
<ul>
<li>Keep abreast of current legislation on charity accounting, the Associations Act and Fair Work Australia matters.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Funds &amp; Cash Support:
<ul>
<li>Check and release authorised payments to suppliers and staff, in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Payroll Support:
<ul>
<li>Assist with the processing of payroll.</li>
</ul>
</li>
</ul>
Non-Primary Tasks, as needed and as time allows:
<ul>
<li>When delegated by the Finance Manager, with scope of role, supervise the work of volunteers.</li>
<li>Provide assistance on ad-hoc matters as directed by Finance Manager. This may involve:
<ul>
<li>Assisting in the preparation of presentation materials for the board.</li>
<li>Assisting in the implementation of systems that are within the scope of role.</li>
</ul>

<h3>How to Apply</h3>
This is a paid role, and available for a contract from start date in January 2025 to 30 June 2025, with potential to renew beyond this date. The position is part-time 0.2 (one day a week).

<h3>THE PERSON &amp; QUALITIES</h3>
(Qualifications, Skills and Experience)

<li>A passion to work towards the mission, vision and values of MarionLIFE.</li>
<li>Qualifications in Accounting.</li>
<li>At least three years&rsquo; experience working in a similar role, in a responsible position.</li>
<li>Excellent interpersonal communication skills including written and phone skills.</li>
<li>Good working knowledge of MS Office suite and a good level of computer literacy.</li>
<li>An enthusiastic, non-judgemental, and cooperative approach to work.</li>
<li>An ability to form, liaise with and develop positive working relationships and networks.</li>
<li>High ability to self-organise, meet deadlines, and prioritise tasks.</li>
<li>Awareness of obligations and responsibilities regarding equal opportunity, confidentiality and work health and safety.</li>
<li>Possession of, or willing to obtain, current Working With Children Check that states Not Prohibited, and current Child Safe Environment Training Certificate.</li>
</ul>
Desirable:
<ul>
<li>Experience working in the Not-For-Profit sector.</li>
<li>Hold a current South Australian Drivers Licence and have a roadworthy vehicle.</li>
