Organisational context for the position:

Charities are a wonderful vehicle for creating change because they empower ordinary people to become advocates and supporters of causes. We created Marlin to help charities get people to join them, and create movements to effect the change we want to see in the world.

The role:

We are looking for an experienced digital fundraising strategist, with a passion for working with charities and not for profits to help them change the world.

This is your chance to shine in a supportive and dynamic environment. Working with our strategy and digital teams, you’ll develop and optimise digital campaigns and fundraising strategies across multiple channels and areas of fundraising.

Leveraging your knowledge of tools, strategies and platforms to deliver high performing results, you will love analysing data and providing results to internal and external teams.

You will be a natural at running multiple projects with various timelines as you develop and support the implementation of campaigns across multiple channels with prescribed targets.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop, deliver and optimise fundraising campaigns to attract and maximise the value from client’s donors and supporters;
  • Monitor, track and evaluate campaign performance analytics, providing regular updates and post campaign reporting;
  • Work closely with other Marliners to develop and execute digital marketing and fundraising plans to ensure campaign success based on KPIs;
  • Budget planning, forecast and pacing to ensure optimal and predictable spend across client digital fundraising and marketing campaigns;
  • Regularly communicate with and provide reports to clients at a senior level
  • Suggest fresh and innovative ideas to clients and internally;
  • Participate or run meetings, workshops and strategic sessions when required;
  • Facilitating and overseeing strategic planning required to meet client objectives;
  • Workshop facilitation or assisting Strategy Director with workshop facilitation and post workshop insights gathering;
  • Demonstrating excellent written communication and presentation skills;
  • Using analytical ability to evaluate and correct propositions and creative communications to ensure effectiveness of marketing and fundraising.

You will:

  • Be passionate about social change and you want to use your skills to create a better world;
  • Be eager to learn and evolve. You will have significant experience and be an expert in digital fundraising within an agency or non-profit organisation,
  • Experience in developing, implementing and optimising successful digital and non-digital fundraising strategies;
  • Be comfortable working independently and getting on with tasks, but able to speak up when things aren’t working or aren’t clear;
  • Be a confident communicator, able to take on board constructive feedback and articulate ideas to clients/stakeholders;
  • Have strong time management skills, experience working on multiple projects with competing priorities, and are able to manage your time; effectively to meet deadlines.

Your work experience and skills:

  • 5 years professional agency or non-profit experience in strategy and/or senior roles;
  • A strong understanding of Facebook Ad Manager, email marketing, Google Ads and Google Analytics;
  • Proven project management skills delivering complex projects on time and on budget;
  • A strong knowledge of all the financial aspects of digital fundraising including analysis of costs/income, ROI, conversion and attrition data and all other relevant KPIs;
  • Excellent analytic skills and a demonstrated ability in using data to drive results;
  • Proven experience developing, implementing and overseeing individual giving fundraising strategies (in agency or organisational side).
