ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re on the hunt for a passionate Community Resource Coordinator to join our team part-time (30 hours per week), for a 2 year contract.

This role plays a crucial role in supporting the Firesticks Community Network by developing, co-designing, writing and coordinating a range of resources and tools, to ensure that community members have access to high-quality, culturally relevant and contextualised materials that support their work in Cultural Fire and Indigenous Land Management.

The role will also support impact reporting, aligned with Firesticks’ Impact Framework.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Resource development

  • Develop a range of high-quality resources, such as guidelines, handbooks, field guides, tools and templates
  • Collaborate with community members, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to ensure the resources developed are fit-for-purpose
  • Manage the production process, including drafting, editing, and finalising materials
  • Support with training of community members on the use of developed resources and tools, as needed
  • Regularly review and update materials and maintain an organised repository of all resources and tools for easy access and distribution

Impact reporting

  • Support in the preparation of impact reports, case studies, and evaluation summaries
  • Assist in developing tools and templates that support impact measurement and storytelling

ABOUT YOU

  • Proven experience in developing, writing, and coordinating user-focused resources, such as guides and templates
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex or technical concepts
  • Strong research skills with the ability to synthesise information from multiple sources into meaningful and emotive impact content
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and remote collaborative tools
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and individuals
  • Must hold a current driver’s licence

Bonus points if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Education, Environmental Science or a related field
  • Familiarity with impact measurement frameworks and reporting
  • Experience in visual communication and resource design
  • Knowledge of Indigenous land management practices and cultural fire methodologies

LOCATION

The role is remote, and the applicant will need to work from their home. Applicants must live in Australia and there is no specific location requirement. Travel may be required.
