• Commencement: Immediate
• Salary: $10,000 per calendar month
• Location: Flexible, but within driving distance of the McPherson Electorate. There will be a campaign office online from the third week of January
• Immediate Manager: Campaign Manager

The Events Manager is responsible for leading a team of volunteers in coordinating all events for the ‘Erchana Murray-Bartlett Independent for McPherson’ campaign. The role answers directly to the Campaign Manager.

Responsibilities:

The Events Manager is responsible for training and leading a team of campaign volunteers to implement the events detailed in the Campaign Action Plan. This will involve:

• Prioritising the work to ensure all events are allocated, consulted and able to be delivered as per the Action Plan
• Allocating a budget to each event and ensuring that the budget is adhered to.
• Providing regular updates on events, including timely issues and risks information and proposed mitigations
• Briefing the Campaign Manager and the Candidate on all events
• Ensuring there is an event coordinator present at each event that will be attended by the Candidate
• Attending all Campaign meetings that require an events update
• Ensure regular updating of the Campaign project management software for each event

The Person:

We are looking for an experienced events manager who can hit the ground running. Working on a grassroots campaign is exciting and exacting – the Events Manager will need to be resilient, organised, a great communicator, team player and project manager.
