You will collaborate closely with in-country teams and Ministries of Health to implement vital programs, such as prevalence surveys and mass drug administration, aimed at controlling scabies in the Pacific Region and beyond. Your work will take you to various countries, where you’ll provide technical support and guidance to field teams.

About your new team

The World Scabies Program is an innovative public health initiative working in partnership with governments and organisations to eliminate scabies as a public health threat. We're on the lookout for a passionate and motivated individual who is eager to make a tangible impact in global health.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with Program and Country Managers to develop and implement country workplans, ensuring alignment with program strategy and funding requirements
  • Lead specific projects as identified by the Program Manager
  • Assist with designing, implementing, and reporting program activities, including surveys, training workshops, and monitoring
  • Organise and facilitate regular meetings with country program staff to ensure project milestones are met
  • Travel internationally to provide technical and operational support in the field
  • Manage competing priorities to deliver projects on time and within scope
  • Support recruitment and development of in-country program teams

Due to the nature and context of the work, a high degree of flexibility and adaptability will be required, and additional areas of responsibility may need to be undertaken to meet the Program objectives.

What we need from you

  • A Degree/Honours/Masters in a relevant field (e.g., Global or Public Health, International Development, Health)
  • Proven experience in international development or global health, especially in Pacific Island countries
  • Skilled in quantitative/qualitative data collection, statistical analysis, and reporting
  • Ability to travel internationally for extended periods (up to 1 month at a time)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience engaging diverse stakeholders
  • Independent, proactive, and able to take initiative
  • Expertise in training, facilitation, and problem-solving
