As a Senior Project Officer at CPG, you will be essential in driving the successful execution of projects across various programs, contributing directly to the achievement of CPG's strategic goals.

You’ll enjoy a diverse and exciting portfolio, offering a mix of responsibilities from providing technical project management support to our data and community engagement teams, to collaborating with leading institutions such as Garvan, MCRI, and other external partners and industry stakeholders.

This is a fantastic opportunity for personal and professional growth, with consistent mentoring from senior leadership and clear pathways for career development within CPG. You will report to the PM Team Lead and be at the heart of CPG’s project management operations.

Ideal candidates will be based in Sydney or Melbourne and be passionate about managing diverse projects in a collaborative, growth-oriented setting.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Consistent demonstration of key competencies such as conscientiousness, resilience, attention to detail and adaptability.
  • Adhering to project management principles and facilitate cross-team collaboration.
  • Managing multiple, evolving priorities to ensure tasks are completed autonomously, efficiently and effectively.
  • Proactively managing internal and external stakeholder communications, to achieve project outcomes with limited support.
  • Coordinating and preparing materials for internal and external project-related discussions.
  • Communicating potential project related risks to team leads, such as process inefficiencies or funding issues.
  • Contributing to knowledge sharing within the PM team and cross-functionally.

What we need from you:

  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in fields related to health and/or science, project or program management.
  • Demonstrated experience in independently managing successful delivery of large projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to lead the generation of reports and grant applications, drive meetings and give presentations.
  • Ability to clearly communicate with senior stakeholders regarding project timelines and status, risks to project delivery, data governance requirements, legal agreement obligations and budget restraints.
  • An interest in the advancements of genomics and precision medicine.
  • Proven strength in organisational skills and ability to support multiple projects at once.
  • A mindset geared towards attention to detail, maintenance of project momentum and continuous process improvement.
