Muscular Dystrophy Australia (MDA) was founded in 1984 and is the national peak body for people living with neuromuscular disease (NMD) across Australia.
Our Mission is to understand and be responsive to community needs to provide high-impact programs, services and support to both the muscular dystrophy and other related neuromuscular disease communities and to fund innovative research.
MDA represents the needs of more than 40,000 people living with one of 40 different types of NMD, which affect muscle strength. The support and services we provide use evidence-based and consumer-informed approaches to optimise the lived experience of NMD.

This role includes assisting in the preparation of reports for the Board and relevant committees by collaborating with department heads to compile and report financial and operational performance. In addition, this role will support identifying headwinds and opportunities for performance and process improvement across MDA operations, objectives of this role include:
The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, extensive accounting experience including budget and forecast development, exceptional problem-solving skills, be highly organised, and have excellent collaboration skills with people from multiple disciplines.
