Our four pillars of work include: prevention and early detection, supporting the community to live optimally with macular conditions, systemic advocacy, research and data. There are an estimated 1.7m Australians with some evidence of macular disease.

About the Role

This is an exciting time to come into this role as we are partnering with a new digital agency to grow our programs. We are looking for a Digital Marketing and Content Coordinator with strong digital marketing and content experience to develop organic reach as well as support our new agency partner. The purpose of this position is to work across MDFA’s activities and build digital programs that lead to greater engagement with stakeholders and help the organisation achieve its marketing, communications, and fundraising goals. This role is part of a small team and reports into the Communications Manager. It plays a pivotal part in the digital capability of driving the development and growth of our online channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing social media platforms
  • Creating dynamic written, digital content in-line with our communications program.
  • Creating and implementing eDM campaigns
  • Develop and implement strong Google Adwords and Facebook acquisition activities.
  • Co-ordinate Social Media calendar, build brand awareness
  • Manage website content
  • Provide analytical reports across all digital channels

Selection Criteria

Essential requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Marketing / Communication / Technology
  • Demonstrated ability to create engaging content across websites and social media channels
  • Technically savvy, excellent communicator
  • Proficient in Wordpress, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, Marketing Automation tools.
  • Experience of both SEO and SEM

Desirable requirements

  • Understanding of the Not-for-Profit sector.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office products
  • Experience with customer databases.
