Through volunteer involvement in one-to-one friendship matches and small social groups, the Community Friend Program facilitates the participation of people with a disability in the community. The Community Friend Program aims to advance community understanding of people with a disability through encouraging their involvement in their community. The Program provides community members with an opportunity to take on the valuable role of volunteer.
The Community Friend Program is delivered through volunteer involvement in nine local government areas of Melbourne.
