Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, as a member of the RMH Services Leadership, the Chief Allied Health Officer (CAHO) is responsible for ensuring that RMH patients have access to quality Allied Health services, conducted by appropriately qualified, credentialed and supported professionals. Managing 8 direct reports and an overall budget of $44M, this role provides operational and strategic leadership for the Allied Health services across RMH.

Your new role

  • Strategic Management - Provide leadership and direction for Allied Health services at RMH to support the achievement of RMH deliverables and strategic objectives.
  • Operational Management - Oversee the operational management of Allied Health across all professions and services, including quality and clinical governance.
  • Financial Management - Oversee the overall Allied Health budget, ensuring financial responsibility and accountability and implement strategies that meet budgetary targets and key performance indicators
  • Stakeholder Management - Identify and foster internal and external opportunities for Allied Health and maintain the profile of RMH Allied Health.

About you

  • Tertiary qualification in Allied Health profession
  • Current registration with the applicable National Board or eligibility for membership with the relevant professional association
  • Post-graduate qualification in health service management/administration/public health/ business management or relevant field
