This role is the chance to join a passionate and highly skilled team multidisciplinary team working to support people with dementia and their carers. In this role, you will work with clients to provide support, information and access to services with a view to improving or maintaining their quality of life. Your role will foster a wellness approach, which focuses on clients’ strengths, is goal-directed and aims to maximise independence and autonomy.
You will be encouraged to innovate and share ideas through involvement in quality improvement initiatives within the organisation and contribute to ongoing service development initiatives including research and evaluation activities.
You will support people living with dementia and their carers through providing one-on-one to education and information to develop their understanding of dementia. You will also assist clients to access services and support which will help to maintain their quality of life. In addition, the role involves facilitating groups for carers of people living with dementia, with a focus on peer support, stress reduction and skill development.
