About the Role

Brisbane South Palliative Care Collaborative (BSPCC), Metro South Health, has an exciting opportunity for a national leadership role. BSPCC has been funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing to operate Advance Care Planning Australia from July 2023.

The Nurse Educator is accountable for the design, implementation, assessment and evaluation of education programs for Advance Care Planning Australia, including nurse education programs, managing educational resources and providing nursing expertise related to educational issues in meeting the strategic priorities of Nursing Services within Metro South Health (MSH).

The Nurse Educator leads and supports a culture of development and enquiry which actively encourages and facilitates clinical, professional and organisational learning within a Supported Practice Framework.

BSPCC is located in Eight Mile Plains, Queensland. Applicants who wish to undertake this role from another location within Australia will be considered.

The Nurse Educator – Advance Care Planning Australia Education Coordinator is a Nurse Grade 7 classification with a salary range of $128,701 - $139,732 per annum.

The Brisbane South Palliative Care Collaborative (BSPCC) is the education, service development and research arm of the Metro South Palliative Care Service. The BSPCC aims to progress best-practice palliative care by implementing quality improvement programs, delivering evidence-based palliative care education and training, and developing inter-sectoral palliative care research programs.
