Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Australia is a national not-for-profit organisation focused on mental health training and research. Our core work is to develop MHFA courses, and train instructors to deliver these courses to their communities or workplaces. Our courses are delivered across Australia and internationally.
About the role:
To support the growth of our organisation, we are seeking an experienced HR coordinator to manage the day-to-day HR administrative processes. Working closely with and supporting the HR Manager you will also undertake projects to meet our operational and strategic objectives.
The role will:
- Support the recruitment process from end to end.
- Build relationships with employees and managers to support MHFA as required.
- Respond to HR and payroll inquires.
- Prepare employee documentation.
- Review and develop HR policy and procedure.
- Support the development and roll out of organisational initiatives including performance planning, employee surveys and implementation of a HRIS.
- All other HR administrative tasks as they present.
About you:
To be successful in this dynamic role you will be a self-starter with a can-do attitude having:
- A qualification in Human Resources and 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Experience across broad HR fundamentals and the employee lifecycle.
- Good project management skills and implementation of HR best practice.
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively and autonomously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A high level of organisational skills including the ability to prioritise competing demands.
- Advanced computer skills including people software systems.
- Strong attention to detail.
