The Mental Health Professionals’ Network (MHPN) is a project funded by the Australian Government to support excellence in multidisciplinary mental healthcare.
MHPN aims to meet this purpose by:
Connecting primary care practitioners to support improved delivery of multidisciplinary mental healthcare
Advocating for best-practice contemporary multidisciplinary models of mental healthcare within primary care
Supporting collaboration of all practitioners within mental healthcare to enable delivery of integrated, multidisciplinary care in a range of mental healthcare settings
Supporting system change and policy development to improve multidisciplinary care.
MHPN aims to engage mental health and health practitioners in its two key programs: the National Networks Program and the Online Professional Development Program.
Positioned within the National Networks Program team and reporting to the Networks Program Team Leader, the Project Officer provides essential customer service and stakeholder relationship management support to new and established networks of multidisciplinary mental healthcare professionals. This role is 0.8 - 1 FTE and hybrid (in office and working from home).
Managing a caseload of networks, the Project Officer will provide professional and tailored support to network coordinators to ensure the ongoing sustainability and viability of networks through the following key deliverables and accountabilities:
