An exciting and unique opportunity for a mission-driven individual with the drive and professional experience to provide strategic operational leadership to make a difference to the Marthakal Homelands.
Yolngu are the traditional owners of the land and sea cultural estates of Northeast Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory. Our service area includes 30 remote Homelands throughout the Marthakal region, whilst our administration, services and businesses are located in Galiwin’ku Community on Elcho Island.
Marthakal Homelands Resource Centre Aboriginal Corporation (MHRCAC) is the parent entity of the Marthakal Group. MHRCAC provides numerous government funded services such as Primary Health Care, Municipal and Essential Services, Land and Sea Management, Housing Maintenance to people residing on remote Homelands in the Marthakal region.
We also operate an air charter business, manage the Elcho Island Airport, sell fuel for planes, as well as manage the Marthakal Motel and Elcho Island Arts.
The Health Services Manager is a key member of the Leadership Team and is responsible for directing, controlling, and administering all operational activities of the Health Service including strategy and long-term sustainability.
If you are our ideal candidate, you will demonstrate strategic Health Service experience with a minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role. We seek a community development-oriented individual with a genuine desire to work collaboratively across the organisation.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead a committed Health Services team. This role will be based on Elcho Island.
