Key goals of the position include:
- Maintain accurate day to day bookkeeping and payroll, allocating costs by project
- Ensure timely statutory lodgements including but not limited to, BAS, IAS, Superannuation, Portable Long Service Leave.
- Prepare financial reports to management & project owners, including acquittals.
- Deliver services in accordance with the organisations aims and objectives.
This role will report to the finance manager.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Administration, including:
- Manage organisation's finances using MYOB
- Maintain accurate day-to-day financial bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and employee reimbursements
- Processing fortnightly payroll
- Ability to complete month end reporting including reconciling accounts
- Ability to prepare financial reports for management
- Reconcile and lodge PAYG, BAS, superannuation and portable long service leave
- Support the annual financial audit
- Assist in preparing and managing budgets.
- Prepare financial component for funding acquittals – including budgets for tenders and financial acquittals
- Support the continuous improvement of financial processes and procedures.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT
- Minimum three years bookkeeping & payroll experience
- Experience reporting and maintaining financial accounts related to projects and government grants
- Strong Excel skills as we produce many ad hoc reports for costing analysis.
- Good communicator, attention to detail, ability to resolve problems
- MYOB & Employment Hero desirable, but not essential
- Not-for-profit experience, but not essential
