About Our Client
For over 40 years VICSEG New Futures has provided a broad range of services to migrant and refugee families and their children. In 2002, VICSEG established New Futures Training, which provides pre-accredited and accredited vocational training in children's services, health care, aged care, disability care, community services, short courses, and more.
Under the broad direction of their General Manager, VICSEG New Future are seeking a Course Coordinator, Education Support to ensure that the Education Support training programs that are delivered by New Futures Training are of high quality, consistent with Government requirements, and are delivered efficiently and effectively.
about the role
A day in the life of the Course Coordinator, Education Support at VICSEG New Futures may look like this, but really every day will be slightly different.
- Creation and delivery of quality education and training programs that conform with National Training Standards and meet the needs of VICSEG New Futures students.
- Coordination of the Education Support Trainers, while being familiar with current Education Support student cohort and regularly visiting classes and other campuses to monitor student progress and outcomes.
- Ensure the provision of quality training to enable students to achieve qualifications that equip them with the skills and knowledge to gain employment within the school environment.
- Oversee the quality of course content, delivery methods, and assessment strategies. Coordinate and maintain accurate RTO records and ensure compliance. Ensure processes are followed in the event of a student withdrawing from training.
- Oversee the process of scope addition of the new Education Support curriculum CHC30221 Certificate III in School Based Education Support.
- Liaise with the Student Welfare and Support Manager when appropriate or necessary.
The Successful Applicant
- Extensive understanding of the needs and concerns for newly settled migrant families and exposure to challenges regarding multicultural service delivery and multicultural community networks.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the school sector.
- Excellent organisational skills and leadership abilities within a multicultural workplace.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written.
- Valid Working with Children Check, current Victorian Driver's License, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE), and qualifications in Education Support or equivalent.
