About Our Client
This organisation is a leading not-for-profit entity based in Footscray, offering comprehensive support to people seeking asylum. With a team size of approximately 200, they are committed to providing a wide range of services to enhance and support the lives of refugees and asylum seekers in Australia.
Job Description
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Manage the payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate payment for all staff. Using knowledge of relevant EBAs and awards for the successful fortnightly payment.
- Assist in month-end closure and report generation.
- Perform account and bank reconciliation and assist with accounts payable/receivable.
- Maintain accurate financial records and data.
- Ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Support the finance manager and wider team with any ADHOC tasks.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience of at least 2 years in managing end-to-end payroll processes
- Exposure to multiple EBAs and awards in a payroll setting, and knowledge of bank reconciliations
- Strong attention to detail and an ability to multi-task
- A genuine passion for working for a Non-Profit organisation which changes the lives of those in need
