Milparinka is a community organisation providing high-quality support for people with disabilities across Victoria. We focus on individual connections, person-centred support, and service excellence, rather than business growth. With a range of services including home and living supports, community programs, coordination, and centre-based activities, we assist nearly 200 individuals to live fulfilling and independent lives.
About the Role
We are looking for a Lead Facilitator – ILO to provide leadership and guidance to a team of Support Workers assisting two brothers in their home. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will work closely with their family, support team, and housemates to create a stable and positive home environment.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Staff Rostering – Ensuring shifts are well-managed and adequately staffed.
- Team Leadership – Mentoring and supporting Support Workers, identifying strengths, and directing work.
- Communication & Coordination – Liaising with participants, family, housemates, and the ILO Facilitator.
- Medical & Medication Support – Attending medical appointments and managing medications.
- Administrative Duties – Ensuring staff complete shift notes, incident reports, and follow communication processes.
- Home & Lifestyle Coordination – Overseeing meal planning, communication schedules, and daily routines.
- On-Call Support – Being part of the on-call support team.
- Continuous Improvement – Identifying areas for growth and development in the support environment.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in disability support, team leadership, or a related role.
- A strong communicator who can engage effectively with individuals, families, and support teams.
- Highly organised with great time management and problem-solving skills.
- Passionate about self-determination, independence, and person-centred support.
- Tech-savvy – comfortable using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word) and communication tools.
- Flexible and proactive, able to adapt and lead in a dynamic home environment.
Essential Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in disability support or a related field.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable access to a car.
- Right to work in Australia (Australian citizen, permanent resident, or valid visa).
