About the role 

We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to partner as a true trusted advisor with the senior leaders in our corporate office (known as Support Hub), including the Chief Financial Officer and his team. The HR Business partner will provide customised support services across areas including; Employment Relations & Industrial Relations practices, coaching and management approaches, continuous improvement strategies in relation to legislative requirements, interpretation of policies and procedures, advice, workforce capability, conflict resolution and change management solutions. 

The Human Resources Operations business unit provides HR Business Partnering, Health Safety & Wellbeing, Recruitment and HR Information Systems support services. The focus of the HR Operations teams is to provide high level support, expert timely advice and information, coaching, policies and procedures, business processes, continuous improvement strategies and HR technology systems to enable efficient, effective management and growth of the business, ensure financially sustainability, a safe place to work, an agile and flexible workforce, and technologically enabled. 

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with a senior corporate client group to offer best practise and customised HR Business Partner support 
  • Act as the trusted advisor to offer contemporary industrial and employee relations, performance and people management, conflict resolution and workforce planning strategies to assist the business leaders in achieving their desired outcomes and managing risk.
  • Proactively build managers capability in HR processes and act as a leadership coach and an employee advocate
  • Co-design and support change management processes related to organisational changes
  • Provide remuneration, employment change and contract management support ensuring compliance with awards, industrial agreements and legislative requirements

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary degree qualifications in Human Resources Management, Labour & Industrial Relations, Organisational Behaviour, Psychology or other related field
  • Proven experience in a HR generalist or business partner role partnering with senior stakeholders
  • Experience in a Not For Profit organisation or an understanding of Community Services  sector would be advantageous
  • Ability to consult, advise, coach and build cooperative relationships with stakeholders, employee and peers
