About the role

The Early Intervention Psychological Support Response Service (EIPSRS) provides a person-centered approach to recovery tailored to meet the needs of people living with mental ill health in the community. EIPSRS service is an individualised, tiered program of recovery support of up to 12 months delivered to clients with a mix of individual support, one-on-one outreach services and group work. The group programs are designed to support achievement of better life goals and enhance recovery, build daily living skills, maintain sustainable housing, improve relationships with families and carers, develop community connections, build capacity and resilience, and live independently and safely in the community.

We are seeking a highly motivated, compassionate Team Leader to work in the Albury Wodonga area. You will provide leadership and mentoring to a team to deliver positive person-centred outreach services to clients to achieve recovery goals, build capacity and living skills, strengthen social and community connections, maintain housing and live independently. The Team Leader will act as the practice lead to staff providing supervision and coaching. 

Key responsibilities

  • Coach and lead a team to deliver high quality outreach services and facilitate positive educational and social experiences.
  • Support clients to return to their community, live independently and enjoy a meaningful life through a staged approach to recovery.
  • Lead and model effective practice to staff working with clients, and plan and support staff to deliver group work.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the service including administration, client reviews with clinical partners, facilitating handovers, recruitment and planning budget expenditure.
  • Collaborate with a range of services and the community to ensure a co-ordinated, integrated response to client’s recovery goals.

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate IV) in Mental Health, Peer Work, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or other health related field as designated by Mind.
  • Expertise in working with people with mental health issues, complex needs and interacting with families and carers.
  • Experience in guiding a team to implement therapeutic, recovery-oriented frameworks and practices including risk mitigation, trauma informed care and family inclusive practice.
  • Proven ability to effectively lead and develop a team to achieve best quality service outcomes and provide professional supervision.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Community Services sector and capacity to build strong relationships with service providers, clinical teams and key stakeholders.
