Candidates should have evidence of success in grant writing, exceptional organisational, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and work independently with staff at all levels. Grant Writing experience in an institutional funding environment is highly desired. Experience with Microsoft is required as well as knowledge of logical framework, theory of change and value for money highly desirable.

Essential:

• Minimum of two years’ experience in grant writing
• Ability to conduct high quality research and grant writing
• Previous experience with non-profit fundraising
• Aligning to Miracle Babies Foundation’s vision, the Grant Writer will have sound knowledge of Miracle Babies’ services and programs
• Excellent relationship building skills and the ability to build rapport and engage with a wide range of important stakeholders, both internal and external
• Capacity to show initiative, drive, and ownership
• Previous experience using databases preferably Salesforce

Desirable:

• Previous experience with Strategic Grants Gem Portal grant calendar or similar
