Mid Coast 4 Kids is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to spearhead our collective impact initiative. In this exciting role, you'll be at the heart of a groundbreaking effort to transform outcomes for children, young people, and families in the Mid Coast region.

Mid Coast 4 Kids is a collective impact initiative focused on improving outcomes for children, young people and families in the Mid Coast. We bring together local organisations and stakeholders from within and outside the community to create lasting and meaningful change by aligning efforts, sharing resources and leveraging the strengths of our community and our partners.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Build strong local relationships to facilitate collaboration and engagement in the MC4K initiative.
  • Research, explore and promote strengths-based approaches to community-led systems change
  • Identify capacity development and support needs within MC4K and assist members to deliver training and development activities as required.
  • Ensure community action groups are functional, and members understand the objectives, principles and approaches of Mid Coast 4 Kids, and how their activities align with the overall vision.
  • Collaborate with backbone members and governance groups within MC4K to develop and implement strategies, policies and processes to ensure leadership and working groups operate effectively.
  • Communicate the objectives of Mid Coast 4 Kids to the community and potential partners using a range of strategies e.g. email, meetings, quarterly newsletter, social media, media release, website or other.
  • Maintain accurate records of services provided as per the requirements of the funding body.
  • Complete a range of administration tasks including internal and external program reports

Requirements for Success:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in human services, education, communications or related field
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of systems issues facing vulnerable children, young people and families.
  • Sound understanding of collective impact principles and practices including the ability to provide effective leadership in the implementation of Mid Coast 4 Kids, with a strong focus on shifting power to community members and enabling diverse forms of leadership.
  • Sound understanding of evidence-based practices and approaches across a range of service delivery areas and support for the design and implementation of outcomes measurement frameworks.
  • Demonstrated success in collaboration and building strong, respectful relationships for the purpose of achieving systems and / or project level outcomes
  • Proven ability to communicate complex information, in a simple, yet compelling way, both through written work and through group facilitation to multiple audiences.
  • Current unrestricted NSW Driver's license

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
