Your Opportunity

As the HR Business Partner, you will be a part of our strong and supportive Corporate Services team. This role provides guidance and support on all aspects of the employee lifecycle to ensure employees enjoy a compassionate, harmonious workplace environment at Mission Australia.

We currently have an opportunity for you to join us as a HR Business Partner on a part time basis, primarily looking after our staff and services in the Northern Territory. Working as a part of a job share team, you will work 3 days per week, or 21 hours per week, and will also have some exposure to our staff and services in Western Australia. You will be responsible for providing strategic and operational advice and business partnership to People Leaders to implement and/or deploy HR strategies to meet Mission Australia objectives.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Partner with the business to provide coaching and advice on HR and IR issues including performance management, workforce planning, interpretation of industrial instruments, leadership coaching/mentoring, managing restructures and other changes and conducting investigations
• Ensure HR/IR solutions provided to the relevant People Leader achieve positive business outcomes and align to Mission Australia values
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with key People Leaders and other stakeholders
• Support organisation wide HR/IR initiatives or projects

Requirements for Success

• Tertiary Qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline
• Extensive experience as a senior HR Business Partner/Generalist including working for an organisation with a business partnering model
• Experience in managing complex cases including restructures, grievances and investigations
• Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary HR legislation, industrial instruments and HR policy/procedures
• Confident, resilient and able to offer credible, timely advice
• Strong skills in senior level stakeholder engagement and relationship building
• A passion for driving positive change in an ever-changing environment
• A strong commitment to the provision of high-quality customer service
• Prior experience working in the Community Services sector is desirable
