Your Opportunity

We have a new opportunity for a motivated and creative thinker to join our Learning & Development team in a pivotal role that focuses on building organisational capability through fostering a culture and appetite for learning across our organisation.

This position will work closely with the National Manager of Organisational Learning, Development, and Performance to set and implement innovative learning initiatives aimed at enhancing organisational performance and driving employee engagement. You will play a key role in cultivating a strong learning culture and mindset within the organisation through building strong and trusting relationships with our People Leaders. Additionally, this role involves overseeing Organisational Learning and Development Advisors as needed and representing the team in various working groups and committees.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Scope and develop learning solutions to meet specific learning needs for Mission Australia Leadership Team
  • Understand learning trends at a senior leader level and how they translate into practical solutions
  • Connect with external service providers offering targeted learning options
  • Develop and deliver specific people development programs or modules when required
  • Provide expert guidance to people leaders on personal learning journeys
  • Take a lead role L&D specific projects including the developing and implementation of initiatives
  • Measure success through Kirkpatrick Training Evaluation Model
  • Manage staff survey processes and engage with third party vendors to deliver these and other programs
  • Build and maintain constructive working relationships with key groups across the organisation
  • Understand stakeholder requirements that translate into actionable deliverables

Requirements for Success

  • Proven experience in designing and delivering initiatives to support leadership development, evaluations, and talent management
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working in a similar role
  • Demonstrated consulting and relationship management experience at operational leadership levels
  • Proven experience in data literacy using technology to support and inform leadership development, including the data analysis and reporting, and how this can be translated into practical outcomes
  • Established experience building and maintaining positive and productive relationships with key stakeholders, staff and in particular people leaders
  • Demonstrated understanding of adult learning principles and how these are applied in an innovative way to engage and upskills staff
  • Ability to articulate new ideas and translate them into initiatives that will benefit the organisation
