Mittagundi is an old style farm with minimal electricity, no mobile reception, and few modern conveniences. It is a place that values people, hard work, and having fun.

Mittagundi is a volunteer run organisation and this is a volunteer, live in role. There is a small 'honorarium' to help you cover your expenses during the year.

Your year will involve working with and leading young people (aged 14-17) in a variety of outdoor activities including bushwalking, cross-country skiing and snow camping, abseiling, and rafting. You will also be responsible for some aspects of running the farm (gardening, animals, plumbing, fencing, etc).
