Mob for Mob is a community-controlled organisation established to raise issues impacting the resilience of our mob with disability by focusing on crucial areas such as education, health, housing, the justice system and transport from a cultural perspective. - Establishing a peak body dedicated to providing a voice for our communities living with disability in Queensland.
- Representing diverse groups including Aboriginal, South Sea, and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Position Overview
The Operations Officer, a First Nations person working in consultation with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), will design and manage Mob 4 Mob’s daily activities to ensure smooth and effective operations that meet the needs of the organisation.
Mob 4 Mob is willing to customise the role to facilitate candidates with disability.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and assist in development of administrative practices, information systems, safeguards, and processes to meet organisational and statutory requirements.
- Manage asset and software licensing and future technology needs.
- Oversee and facilitate IT services, system access, IT troubleshooting, office facilities, and contractor engagement.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations and manage workers’ compensation and rehabilitation.
- Assist with financial reporting and preparation of submissions.
- Manage systems for information retention, archiving, and data-informed planning.
- Conduct general office administration duties, including answering the phone, managing mail, filing, and organisational diary management.
- Provide support to organise and facilitate meetings, events, workshops, and conferences, including Board of Directors meetings, by coordinating transportation, venues, catering, registrations, invitations, and other support.
- Provide administrative support to other staff as requested by the CEO.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Essential Criteria
- Lived experience as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
- Strong commitment to promoting the rights, interests and aspirations of First Nations mob with disabilities, in accordance with the United Nations CRPD.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to exercise initiative and judgment to strategically plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate work.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team to achieve positive outcomes.
- Demonstrated knowledge of disability.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft environments, including SharePoint and Outlook.
- Disability Worker Screening.

Desirable Criteria
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, business administration, management, or a related field.
- Lived experience of disability.
- Bookkeeping skills and experience, including Xero accounting software.
- Experience in human resources or operational role.
- Experience managing social media campaigns.
- Familiarity with the social, community, home care, or disability services sector
