Everyone needs a platform to launch a satisfying career. At Monash, we give you the space and support to take your career in all kinds of exciting new directions. You’ll have access to quality research, infrastructure and learning facilities, opportunities to collaborate internationally, as well as the grants you’ll need to publish your work. We’re a university full of energetic and enthusiastic minds, driven to challenge what’s expected, expand what we know, and learn from other inspiring, empowering thinkers.
To join BehaviourWorks Australia (BWA), a leading behaviour change research enterprise within the Monash Sustainable Development Institute (MSDI). The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team of talented behaviour change researchers who work collaboratively with their government and industry partners to find behavioural solutions to social, environmental and organisational problems.
You will support the senior research team in conducting research that responds to the needs of partners needs and gives them the evidence they need to make better program and investment decisions. These partners include State and Federal government departments, government-owned corporations, non-government organisations and industry groups seeking to have a positive impact on environmental and social outcomes in areas such as energy, waste, water, biodiversity, biosecurity, climate change and pollution.
As a Research Fellow, you will be involved in conducting literature and practice reviews, audience research and developing, monitoring and evaluating behaviour change interventions. You will produce industry reports and peer-reviewed publications and, depending on interest, deliver training. You will also contribute to MSDI’s over-arching research agenda, which uses the Sustainable Development Goals as a framework for addressing sustainability challenges.
The role offers enormous scope to develop your career in this rapidly evolving field and will suit someone who enjoys the challenge of applied research.
