The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategic fundraising initiatives to secure sustainable funding for the Women’s Resilience Centre. This role involves identifying and engaging corporate partners, leading fundraising events, and cultivating donor relationships with marketing and PR support initiatives to build donor loyalty and expand the Centre’s revenue and impact.
Key Responsibilities
1. Corporate Partnerships & Sponsorships:
- Identify, research, and engage corporations to secure sponsorships, grants, and partnerships.
- Develop compelling proposals and pitch presentations to secure corporate funding.
- Foster long-term relationships with corporate partners, ensuring ongoing engagement and support.
- Collaborate with marketing to create recognition opportunities for corporate sponsors.
2. Individual & Community Fundraising:
- Develop and implement donor engagement strategies to increase individual giving.
- Build and maintain relationships with key donors, ambassadors, and community stakeholders.
- Oversee donor recognition programs, ensuring a high level of appreciation and stewardship. Leverage digital fundraising tools and social media campaigns to drive individual donations
3. Fundraising Events:
- Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of major fundraising events, including the annual Reset The Dial event and other key initiatives and smaller events
- Develop and implement new fundraising event concepts to diversify revenue streams.
- Coordinate with vendors, sponsors, and event committees to ensure seamless event execution.
- Guide event budgets, sponsorship acquisition to maximise profitability.
4. Grants & Philanthropic Funding:
- Research and refer grant opportunities to the CEO and Finance Manager from philanthropic foundations, government bodies, and other funding sources.
- Create branded templates for grants and pitch decks for consistent messaging by others in the team who assist with fundraising efforts; CEO, Founder, SICP team, Marketing staff
- Build relationships with grant makers and philanthropic organisations.
5. Strategic Planning & Reporting:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive and diverse fundraising strategy aligned with the Centre’s financial goals.
- Track, analyse, and report on fundraising performance, providing insights for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the CEO and Board to align fundraising efforts with organisational priorities.
- Lead the management of the CRM, creating and preparing reports, ensuring clean data and best use of stewarding donors and stakeholders within the CRM.
6. Funding Performance:
- Ability to raise 3 times negotiated salary annually.
- Ability to supervise and manage team members and volunteers in events, marketing, communications and social media.
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in fundraising, corporate partnerships, or business development (minimum 3-5 years).
- Proven history of raising three times their salary in previous NFP fundraising roles.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills with corporate and philanthropic stakeholders.
- Experience in event management and campaign execution.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to craft compelling funding proposals.
- Knowledge of donor management systems and digital fundraising tools.
- Knowledge of fundraising in the NFP sector.
- Passion for women’s empowerment and social impact.
