The Opportunity 

Are you passionate about driving systemic change and fostering community collaboration? Join us as the Backbone Lead for Flemington Works, where you'll lead a pioneering place-based initiative transforming lives through collective impact.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire the Flemington Works program, fostering collaboration across government, community, and industry partners.
  • Strategic coordination and alignment of efforts that support the development and implementation of initiatives to increase the wellbeing and prosperity of residents. 
  • Oversee the program, translating goals into actionable plans while ensuring compliance with funding agreements.
  • Provide strategic leadership and guidance to a skilled team of community practitioners, ensuring an adaptive and responsive approach to complex challenges.
  • Develop high-quality reports, briefings and presentations that demonstrate program outcomes and insights.

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in community development, social sciences, or a relevant discipline, with extensive community leadership experience.
  • Proven track record of leading place-based initiatives and fostering systemic change through collective impact.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement, partnership development, and cross-sector collaboration.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills with the ability to translate complex information for a range of audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to navigate complexity in collaborative settings.
