As Moonlit Sanctuary’s Life Sciences Manager, you would report to the General Manager and be responsible for the overall performance and strategic direction of Life Sciences. This critical role requires a leader driven to achieve impactful outcomes for Moonlit Sanctuary and its people, the animals in our care and the overall visitor experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership: Foster a culture of excellence, safety, and high performance, aligning with Moonlit Sanctuary’s values and strategic goals.
• Operational Management: Oversee all Life Sciences operations, ensuring the highest standards of safety, animal welfare, compliance and visitor experience.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive a growth mindset, collaborating on better and more efficient ways of working in support of Moonlit Sanctuary’s goals.
• Conservation: Oversee Moonlit Sanctuary’s conservation programs in alignment with its vision and mission, exploring new opportunities for impactful change.

What We're Looking For:

• A qualified professional with relevant experience in a zoo or wildlife park in the conservation sector.
• A purpose-driven leader with the ability to engage, inspire and mentor a team.
• In-depth understanding and commitment to Zoo and Aquarium Association (ZAA) Australasia models and standards.
• Knowledge of leading-practice husbandry of a range of native Australian animals.
• A strong commitment to wildlife conservation and an eagerness to build on current successes and grow with the business.
