About the Role

Reporting to the Coordinator, Destination Experience, the core responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to the development and lead the delivery of programs to children, families, school groups, and special needs groups.
  • Primarily work weekends, school, and public holidays. Some after-hours work is required to deliver evening experiences including night walks and to support the delivery of events and festivals.
  • Assist in the Visitor Centre and around the grounds, delivering exceptional customer service including answering phone-calls and emails, answering general questions and selling products in the retail area.
  • Assist with the delivery of events and festivals, including providing customer service, assisting with parking, and undertaking site patrols and sound measurements.
  • Model the Mornington Peninsula Shire’s vision and values.

About You

  • Experience in using best-practice interpretive tools to develop and deliver face-to- face experiences which engage people with nature / heritage.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging community groups including the Indigenous Community, schools, and City Councils to deliver exceptional programs.
  • Experience in understanding audiences and incorporating this knowledge into the delivery of visitor experiences.
