Unity Housing is a recognised leader in the provision, management and development of community housing, boarding houses and affordable housing throughout South Australia. Central to Unity Housing’s service model is its capacity to deliver and create solutions and opportunities for people to live in safe and affordable housing of their choice. Unity Housing is now looking for a new Chief Operations Officer (COO) to join the organisation at an important time in South Australia’s history, with social housing and supporting services being more important than ever.

About the role

The COO is a key member of Unity Housing’s Executive Leadership providing leadership to a highly functioning and motivated multidisciplinary operational team. Reporting to the CEO and supporting the Board, the COO is responsible for delivering strategic and operational property and tenancy services for an extensive property portfolio. In addition, this position will ensure compliance with regulatory, contractual and legislative requirements, while fostering a high-performance culture that prioritises customer centric service delivery, operational efficiency and innovation.

The ideal candidate will be a proven operational leader with extensive experience in the social/community housing environment. You must demonstrate experience in managing multidisciplinary teams in a complex and changing environment, developing capability and driving positive outcomes. As a collaborative and progressive leader, you will be an excellent communicator and engage positively with all stakeholders including clients, industry and Government.
