About You

The Children and Families Services team is seeking a casual pool of experienced, enthusiastic and passionate Children and Families Services Assistant to assist with running and maintaining a quality playgroup for children and their families within the Mosman Community.

To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • Proven experience contributing to the day-to-day operations of children programs and providing quality experiences for children and young people;
  • Extensive experience working in a team to contribute to the planning, running and evaluation of playgroups
  • Demonstrated an understanding of the relevant legislative and regulatory requirements pertaining to children and families such as National Quality Standards, Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act 1998 and Child Safe Standards
  • Proven ability to contribute to creating a safe space for play and development to allow children to connect with their parents and community through activities and programs in particular playgroups.

This is a casual role so hours of work are as required. The playgroup is open from 10 am to 12pm on Monday and Friday.

The position is identified as a Child-Related position under the Commission of Children and Young People Act 1998 and the successful candidate is required to hold a valid Working With Children Check.
