We are seeking a proficient project officer with demonstrated experience in coordinating educational projects and programs, who has a genuine passion for student equity, to join our dynamic and collaborative team.
As the Widening Participation Program Coordinator, you be responsible for developing and implementing programs and initiatives which target increased access, participation and success in Higher Education for potential domestic undergraduate students from Low SES backgrounds, regional and remote areas and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) (DVC-A) is the Chief Academic Officer of the University and is a member of the University Executive.
The Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education) within the DVC-A portfolio develops and drives the University’s strategy for building and enhancing entry and progression pathways and, with the Pro-Vice Chancellor Learning and Teaching, leads the ongoing improvement of academic offerings at Macquarie.
The Widening Participation Unit (WPU) within that portfolio works to meet the University’s commitment to the national widening participation agenda with the aim to improve access and increase participation in Higher Education by students from backgrounds that are traditionally underrepresented (low socio-economic status, regional and remote, Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander). The WPU is funded by the Federal Government's Higher Education Participation and Partnerships Program (HEPPP).
You have a solutions-focused attitude, excellent communication skills and thrive working in a collaborative team environment. You are proactive, enjoy working with diverse student cohorts, are experienced in coordinating people and projects, and are driven to achieve excellence in the workplace. You are committed to educational equity with a desire to make a difference in the lives of young people. Experience in school and/or tertiary educational settings is highly desirable.
This position requires a paid employee Working with Children Check (WWCC) and a full driver's license.
